DODIN APL
IMPORTANT NOTE
The Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DODIN APL) is established in accordance with the UC Requirements (UCR 2013) document and mandated by the DOD Instruction (DODI) 8100.04. Its purpose is to maintain a single consolidated list of products that have completed Interoperability (IO) and Cybersecurity certification. Use of the DODIN APL allows DOD Components to purchase and operate systems over all DOD network infrastructures. The DODIN APL supersedes the DOD UC APL.

Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List (DODIN APL) Acquisitions
The CHESS contracts designated for DODIN APL item acquisitions are under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Hardware (ITES-3H) program. The DODIN APL items should be acquired by soliciting proposals from the ITES-3H contractors (https://chess.army.mil/Contract/Ites3H). Registered users may obtain quotes for these products through the RFQ process on CHESS IT e-mart. If there is an APL category for a solution, then solutions offered must be posted on the DODIN APL (https://aplits.disa.mil/apl) unless the Ordering Contracting Officer (OCO) makes a determination that the DODIN APL is not applicable to the solution sought (as defined in the Unified Capabilities Requirements 2013 and in the DODIN APL Process Guide) and states the exception in the request for quote (RFQ). The OCO may indicate a preference for an APL solution in the RFQ even if the solution sought does not require listing on the DODIN APL. All responses to RFQs must clearly identify whether a solution being offered is posted to the DODIN APL or not posted to the DODIN APL if there is an APL category for that solution. When submitting a new catalog to the CHESS Product Officer for ITES-3H and to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist for ITES-3H for approval, the contractor must clearly identify whether the item is posted to the DODIN APL. For questions regarding the DODIN APL please contact the Approved Products Certification Office (APCO) at: disa.meade.ie.list.approved-products-certification-office@mail.mil The Army HQDA CIO/G-6 Cyber Directorate is responsible for identifying the appropriate approved IA or IA enabled products and provide guidance to Army customers. The DODIN APL is the only listing of equipment by DOD to be fielded in the Defense Information System Network (DISN). DOD components are required to fulfill their system needs by only purchasing APL listed products, providing one of the listed products meets their needs. This means the DODIN APL must be consulted prior to purchasing a system or product. If no listed product meets the organization's needs, they may sponsor a product for testing that does meet their needs, provided that the product has an existing category and test requirements.
